Paul Eident for Caspian City Commission

Prepared to Lead. Ready to Serve.

On November 4, 2025, Caspian will choose its future. I’m running to bring prepared, forward-thinking, and collaborative leadership to our city. Together, we can make Caspian flourish.

Meet Paul

Encouraged by community members, I’m running for Caspian City Commission because I believe in Caspian’s potential. Our city may be small and off the beaten path, but I know we can grow, thrive, and remain a great place to live. I will come to every meeting prepared, listen carefully, and focus on practical solutions that benefit all residents — not just a few.

I’ve called Caspian home since September 2020, and in that time I’ve become deeply involved in the community:

  • Vice-President of the Iron County Trail Club, helping build and promote trails that benefit residents and attract visitors.

  • Active in the arts, performing in plays with the West End Players.

  • Volunteer with the 906 Adventure Team for the past three summers, supporting youth and families through outdoor adventure.

  • Ski Patroller at Ski Brule since 2019, promoting safety and service on the slopes.

Beyond volunteer service, I am co-owner and founder of a successful consulting firm established in 2003, bringing more than 20 years of business and leadership experience. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Wisconsin–Stout.

On a personal note, I’ve been married to my wife Shawn since 1996. Together we’ve raised four children — two of whom now live in Iron County. My family is a big part of why I care so much about Caspian’s future.

My Priorities for Caspian

Prepared, Effective Meetings

Caspian deserves better than “pet-peeve politics.” I’ll bring research, accountability, and clear summaries so residents always know what’s happening.

Smart Growth that Fits Caspian

Caspian is surrounded by opportunity — from our ATV and snowmobile trails to blue-ribbon trout streams, beautiful lakes, and Ski Brule just down the road. By highlighting these strengths, we can welcome more visitors and support local businesses, all while protecting the small-town character that makes Caspian home.

Reliable Services & Fiscal Sense

Strong basics matter: safe roads, well-maintained parks, reducing blight, and responsible budgeting. I’ll prioritize core services while seeking grants and partnerships to stretch every dollar and make the most of our city’s resources.

Community Engagement

Engaging with residents through open forums and transparent communication ensures everyone’s voice is heard and valued. I will work to improve access to information by partnering with the City to keep the website up to date and by creating an official City Facebook page, making it easier for residents to stay informed about meetings, decisions, and community events.
